Praying for Others
During our joint St Margaret ’ s and St James Worship Service on 15 November , a different approach to pastoral prayers was taken , with congregation members being invited to go forward and light a candle whilst silently praying for whichever persons they wished . Many did so . Simon Clarke conceived the idea and drew all the prayers together afterwards . The arrangement of candles , pots and table coverings was put together by Robin Bennett . The photograph on the cover and the one below were taken by Brian Rope .
