We’re off to a great start this tournament season with a successful 4-Club Tournament and One Day
Member-Guest in the books! We look forward to this month’s upcoming Member Events with the
Superbowl Tournament and 2020 Casper Cup. Right around the corner will be a brand new 2020
Match Plat format in March, followed by the Masters Tournament and Men’s Member-Guest in April.
The Superbowl Tournament and Casper Cup will feature no major changes to their formats this year,
but I’d like to take the time to discuss the new format for this year’s Match Play which will be hosted
on March 6th and 7th. This year, the Men’s Match Play Tournament will feature a 64-person Friday
Night Pairings Party, followed by a Saturday Morning Round Robin. After the Saturday Rounds,
16 players will remain to complete the Match Play Tournament in the traditional single-elimination
bracket format.
The first 64 players to register for this event will be guaranteed a position in the event, and every
player after will be placed on a stand-by list. Registration for this event will open on Golf Genius on
Wednesday, February 5th at 6:00 PM. This date will be heavily promoted the week before to ensure
that the membership is aware of the registration date to encourage participation. We look forward
to exploring this new format and hope that players feel involved with the changes to this high-level
member event.
The next couple months will also host several demo days by your favorite club makers. These club
makers will include Mizuno, Taylor Made, Callaway and Odyssey. We feel that these companies
are the top club-makers for this season and want to be sure you are getting your opportunity to
experience their products. All demo days will be held on the driving range and emails to register for
one-on-one fittings will be released through golf genius periodically.
