Stitched! A NecroMech European Adventure August 2019 | Page 10
1.1 The Club
The description inside the Alchimie Noir nightclub (3 Coventry Street in Soho) is in
stark contrast to the outside world:
Just after you pass through
the front doors you check your
coat, gloves, and hat and are
given your masquerade mask by
an attractive young woman. A
must for all patrons.
She also asks, “I can
assume you are not carrying
any weapons?”
Knowing not to come armed
to the club you answer “no”,
especially as you are aware that the young woman is in fact a Shadow Weaver
using the Inquisition Talent to verify that you are not.
Looking up you see the banks of black lights glowing a deep purple, causing
your mask to take on its own soft pale green glow. A precaution, you know,
against NecroMech intrusion.
You hear muted music coming from the doors ahead of you. As they swing open
it washes over you, and together with the bustle of glamorous people dining,
drinking, and dancing it seems like a completely different world.
You ask after Madame “G” at the bar and are pointed to the stairs that lead
up to her office.
On entering you see the beautiful Madame “G”, so called as no one, including
yourself, knows her real name, sitting behind a huge, ornate, wooden desk on
the other side of the room. The room conveys elegant style. Standing just
behind her is a very imposing figure. A tall, muscular, man with a scar running
through his undamaged left eye. As he turns to say something to Madame “G” you
see the left side of his head is shaved, revealing a tattoo of the Scottish
flag. That and the tartan just screams Scotsman!
Seated around the front of the desk are several other people you recognize
from other trips to the club but don’t really know.
Madame “G”: “Please sit, remove your masks, and introduce yourself. ”
All players should introduce their characters.
Madame “G” looks to Ernst(a), seated directly to her right, and asks: “Tell the
rest of the group why they are here.”
Ernst(a) gets up and as (s)he paces across the carpeted floor says in a heavy
German accent: “I really want to find out what has happened to my family back in
Germany, bring them back to London if possible, and recover the family fortune. I’m
not a rich (wo)man anymore but I do have enough remaining funds to “hire” you all. I’m
hoping that this together with a 10% share of all that we find along the way, for
each of you, is enough to get you on board.”
