Connor had the opportunity to enter the International Blues Challenge, touted as the world’ s largest gathering of Blues musicians held on Beale Street in Memphis, Tennessee. There he met Blues musicians from 17 countries, including Australia, Canada and the Netherlands. He didn’ t win an award, but he gained valuable business advice and was exposed to festival coordinators who could book future gigs.
Connor has released four singles and plans to release a full album of 10 of his original Blues songs in the summer of 2025. He plays at Stillwater’ s Troubadour Thursdays at the Stillwater Community Center, at live mic nights at Bad Brad’ s BBQ on Thursdays in Stillwater and sometimes catches gigs at the Salty Bronc. He also plays at the Cimarron Bar and the Centennial Lounge in Tulsa, and at MoJo’ s Blues Club in Bricktown in Oklahoma City.
Connor said although the music scene in Stillwater has shifted, the hope is that the passion for Blues music will be revived.
