405 MERCANTILE closing in on a decade in Stillwater
405 Mercantile is a fan favorite of Stillwater shoppers. Whether you ' re in the market for shoes, clothes, gift items, jewelry or purses, 405 Mercantile has you covered. And if that wasn ' t enough, they have the cutest personal shopper named Winston. He ' s the resident Goldendoodle and quite the ladies man.
As the longtime manager of Central Drug at its previous downtown location, Lora Frazier was in charge of reorganizing and revamping their store by bringing in gift and boutique items for a younger, fresher feel at the drug store. During this time, she fell in love with refurbishing furniture and gained quite a following on Facebook. She had always loved fashion and home decor and dreamed of opening a boutique of her own.
After 12 years at Central Drug Lora had the opportunity to purchase the Downtown Marketplace( current
405 location at 706 S. Main). She kept the vendors, changed the name, and made it her own. Her goal is to keep incorporating local vendors and Made In Oklahoma products. 405 Mercantile recently began carrying hand-poured candles and wax melts from Eros Candle Company, a new local business.
From trendy apparel and comical socks to a full range of jewelry and Myra bags, 405 Mercantile is your one stop shop. You can find an array of gift items for any occasion and shiny trinkets galore. Lora has just added a fun new interactive station where you can customize your own hats with iron on patches and bling.
405 Mercantile will be celebrating nine years of business this July. Follow them on social media to get all the details on upcoming events and new merchandise arrivals. Make sure to check out the sales and clearance racks whenever you stop by as they ' re always full of awesome deals. And don ' t forget to give Winston a snuggle! He ' s not great at carrying your bags, but he will probably bring you a toy.
