NOVEMBER BRINGS WITH IT A CHILL IN THE AIR AND THE URGE TO STIR UP SOMETHING IN THE KITCHEN .
Whether it ’ s sides , pies , stews , casseroles or an entire Thanksgiving dinner , the Made in Oklahoma Coalition has you covered with all the recipes to make the season delicious . For Thanksgiving , family favorites and traditions reign supreme . But trying new side dishes is a fun way to bring something new to the table . Serve your family ’ s favorites , but also give a new MIO recipe a try .
One of our favorites for this month is a Savory Bacon and Onion Stuffing . This stuffing gets its flavor from fresh Scissortail Farms herbs , plus sauteed bacon and onion . Adding Greer ’ s Ranch House Bacon to the stuffing makes it savory , smokey and delicious .
For something familiar , try our Homemade Green Bean Casserole . We ’ ve upgraded the traditional casserole , tossing the creamed soups and making a creamy sauce folded with J-M Mushrooms and Bar-S Bacon .
These flavors combine for a green bean casserole that will leave everyone asking for the recipe .
Sweet potatoes are a must for Thanksgiving . But here ’ s a twist to consider : Twice Baked Sweet Potatoes .
