Tell us about the Leafer Lodge Christmas Tree Farm .
We are the Christmas Tree Farm in Stillwater that gives people the “ Hallmark experience ,” in addition to being a private event venue . We are currently growing Virginia Pine trees available to cut in 2024 and have our Premium Fir trees shipped in from Oregon .
What inspired you to open the tree farm ?
It ’ s been a dream for many years . We wanted to give the communities a meaningful and magical “ Hallmark-like ” Christmas experience where “ memories and traditions are made ” each year on our farm with their friends and families .
What can visitors expect to find at the tree farm ?
As soon as guests park their cars , the experience begins . Guests take a hayride over to our main area . Kids and adults can take a ride down our 40-foot slide , or have fun on our swings made out of our own cedar trees .
A Gingerbread House serves as our gift shop of our merchandise , fresh Christmas wreaths and original ornaments , as well as delicious baked goods and hot beverages . Guests can sit out on the lookout deck off the Gingerbread House and enjoy their goodies – or during the Christmas season , write their letters to Santa .
We also built a “ Sugar Shack ” that serves as concessions especially during our movie nights on our 300-inch movie screen that has become a huge hit . We also have hosted all different types of groups for private events .

What should people consider in fir trees ?
The most common response we get from people when considering a live tree is that they are allergic . We have two allergy sufferers in our home , too . We sell a variety of fir trees , including an allergy-friendly fir tree that we keep in our home as well . Fir trees do last longer than pine trees . Because our fir trees are of premium quality , they will last several weeks if watered regularly and a vitamin is added to the water , which we have in the gift shop .
What are the hours at the farm and is the venue free ?
During the Christmas season beginning Black Friday , we are open Friday-Sunday and it ’ s free to visit the farm . After the season , we are open for private events / photographers , and cost varies based on group size and the amenities guests prefer .
