Everyone ' s a critic

Literally , everyone ’ s a critic these days . Few things get people talking more than what food places are opening or closing down .

Everyone has an opinion on food , the service , the cleanliness , you name it and you can find good and bad reviews for food spots no matter the size of the town .
It takes a lot of courage , and pretty thick skin to get into the food business .
Some people are born into it , carrying on a family tradition for decades . You have to stick to tradition and constantly evolve to new tastes and finicky customers .
Then there are those brave entrepreneurs who have a passion for food and decide to make a go of it in the business world . Stillwater has a lot of both . Some appeal to the masses . Some appeal to a niche market . People who claim Stillwater only caters to college kids haven ’ t spent enough time trying out its diverse eateries . It ’ s best to know what the locals think about their food choices . Here ’ s a quick rundown of repeat winners for the

Good Little Eater was voted the top bakery , No . 1 in desserts , best homestyle food and best locally owned spot . Red Rock Bakery again held onto its throne as Stillwater ’ s top sandwich as well as being named the best deli . Akeno was voted best overall restaurant , best Asian restaurant , best spot for dinner , best spot for lunch , best spot for seafood and was tops for sushi . Just Wafflin ’ was voted best breakfast spot and best brunch spot . Da Vinci ’ s was voted best Italian restaurant and top spot for pasta . Don Pibil ’ s was voted best Mexican restaurant and best food truck .
