CHEF AUDRA CARTER HAS COME A LONG WAY SINCE HER DAYS AS A DISHWASHER AT JOESEPPI ' S . fter attending the Culinary Arts program at OSU-Okmulgee , Audra
Arelocated to Stillwater . Working her way through the Joeseppi ' s kitchen from dishwasher to supervisor , she then took the head grill cook position at Brooklyn ' s in downtown Stillwater ( where Granny ' s Kitchen is now located ). Moving onto Cowboy Dining , Audra got to create specialty dishes for the McKnight suite . She has also been a hands-on student teacher for Meridian Technology Center ' s Culinary Arts Program .
I met Audra almost 15 years ago when she was just a young girl working at a food truck . Since then , she ' s had three kids , navigated a new cooking career , and opened restaurants as the head chef . She has competed multiple times in Our Daily Bread ' s Top Chef fundraiser , winning the People ' s Choice Award in 2023 , and returning as a judge for the local competition in 2024 . It has been so fun to watch her journey and see her blossom into an impressive chef .
Audra ' s passion for cooking and baking was reignited during 2020 as she spent a lot of time at home with her children . Answering a help wanted ad for Good Little Eater , owner and caterer Sarah Ramsey welcomed her with open arms , offering Audra a space to ease back into the food industry . Sarah ' s business model of take-and-bake foods were perfect when most restaurants had to shut down . Having that opportunity with
