Miso finally opened its doors in November 2021 and the rest is history ! Miso Asian Bistro has established itself as a true fine dining experience .

You can also build your own bowl if raw fish booties aren ’ t your thing ! Calvin has a plan to expand the menu at Nooki by adding more salad bowl toppings and healthy drink options .
With the continued success of Golden Dragon Cafe and Nooki being embraced as well , why not open another restaurant ... AND have a baby !? By the end of 2019 , the Chens welcomed their first child , signed a commercial lease , and construction was underway for an upscale sushi bar . ( Remember the part about having a supportive partner !?) Calvin was on the road to another successful restaurant and then the pandemic hit . What should ’ ve been about a 9 month project turned into almost 2 years due to Covid-related delays .

Calvin ’ s impeccable attention to detail is on full display at Miso . Be sure to check out ( and inquire about ) the mural ! Miso will soon be upgrading their menu with vegetarian items .
Stillwater would truly be missing out if Calvin Chen stayed in the Engineering field . His dedication to food , his kitchen , mentoring employees ,
1 creating menus , and delighting our taste buds has left a huge impression on us over the years and hopefully many more to come . Calvin is the first one to work and the last one to leave . He ’ s always focused on his next idea and brainstorming on new ways to excite our palates . And speaking of ... my fortune cookie said that land has already been purchased on the west side of town , so stay tuned !
