Norton admitted it isn ’ t always easy being a female entrepreneur , but keeping the Center going has been a priority .
“ It is tough to be a female entrepreneur . I am proud of it and proud of others – so proud of all of us who really put in the work to make this happen – certainly after COVID I didn ’ t know if we were going to rally after that or not – but I think you find that internal strength and are just willing to put int the work to get it done .”
She also considers the Center to be a beacon in people ’ s journey through life .
“ I think we have touched many lives . You become so close to the students and you get to know them and you know you have an impact on their lives – it ’ s certainly a calling for me – it ’ s been very fulfilling ,” she said .
Norton has some wisdom to impart to anyone wishing to pursue a career in yoga and wellness or who wish to have their own studio .
“ You have to have persistence and patience , and to simply show up every single day whatever you do and give your very best . That ’ s kind of my motto in whatever I do , and I try to do it very well ,” she said .
“ The practice opened in June of 2009 and we are having our fifteenth anniversary this summer ,” she said , adding , “ yes , there will be a celebration .”
