Getting that Turkey Day grub S tillwater residents and college students who are not native to the area might feel the holiday blues in the last week of November if they are unable to travel to family. Thankfully, the Stillwater community is here as their home-away-from-home for the holiday season.
With the spooky season ending and locals preparing to give thanks, there’ s no shortage of Thanksgiving holiday meal options in the Stillwater area.
Most years, locals can enjoy a good Thanksgiving meal at Persimmon Hill Farm & Bakery while also supporting a good cause. The business usually hosts an annual Thanksgiving dinner in partnership with the Only 2 Roads missionary organization to raise proceeds for mission trips to Uganda. The business’ s owners said they have not coordinated anything with the mission for this year, but locals can watch their Facebook page for announcements.
A Stillwater Community Thanksgiving Dinner is usually held at the First United Methodist Church each year, but the time and location have yet to be announced for this year. The same goes for Roscoe’ s Feed Shack at 523 W. 6th Ave. in Stillwater. The business is open all day on Thanksgiving and hosts a traditional Thanksgiving Day meal. Details will likely also be coming to their Facebook page.
