Honey BBQ Ribs
DESCRIPTION:
We load up these baby back ribs with flavor from Head Country dry rub and sauce. The Head Country Honey BBQ Sauce is just the right amount of sweet and heat we want on our ribs.
INGREDIENTS:
2 to 3 racks pork baby back ribs( about 2 to 3 pounds each) 2 teaspoons canola oil 5 tablespoons Head Country Original Championship Seasoning 1 cup Head Country Honey BBQ Sauce
DIRECTIONS:
1. Preheat your grill to medium heat( about 300 degrees). Coat each rack of ribs with canola oil, then evenly with the rub.
2. Place the racks of ribs bone side down over indirect heat. Cover and cook for 2 hours to 2 hours 15 minutes, turning over halfway through cooking.
3. Increase the temperature to medium-high heat( about 375 degrees). Turn the ribs bone side down. Use a brush to brush 1 / 2 cup honey barbecue sauce on top of the ribs. Cover and cook for 10 to 15 minutes, basting them with the remaining sauce halfway through cooking. The ribs are done when they are 185 to 205 degrees. The glaze should be charred in some spots.
4. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Serve with additional barbecue sauce, as desired. Note: Ask your butcher to remove the silver skin for you! If you don’ t, you can remove it yourself by using a sharp knife. Use the knife to release an edge, then use a paper towel to grip it( it’ s slippery!) and pull it off.
