JJ: You received the cancer news right before Christmas. What did
LR: It was honestly the best Christmas I ' d ever had. I focused entirely
JJ: Aside from your OSU Cowboy family and the Stillwater community, did you have any surprising supporters or people reaching out?
LR: OU fans! I actually had several OU fans and people in Norman send me messages of encouragement and offer their prayers. Bob Barry Jr even jumped at the chance to fill in for me during some of the broadcasts even though he had no idea what he was doing.
JJ: What have been the craziest or best moments of your career?
LR: The craziest was when Kevin Durant came to the men ' s basketball game with Texas and we won. Big Country hitting that half-court shot is definitely a top highlight. The crowd rallying around our football team during the Big 12 Championship game after the plane crash was amazing.
JJ: What do you want your legacy to be? LR: I simply hope I ' ve made this world a better place.
JJ: What are your predictions for our upcoming football season? LR: It ' s going to be a good one! We ' re bigger and faster and we ' re going back to a bowl.
JJ: You ' re calling it right now? We ' re headed to a bowl game? LR: I ' m calling it!
