SOM: What future plans are there for the Gardens? AM: We have four primary and continuing objectives:
u To continue demonstrating the sincerest appreciation for All Who Served;
u To honor Purple Heart and Gold Star Families as frequently as possible; u To expand the education and involvement of youth in the need for and ways of acknowledging and honoring Veterans; and u Continuing maintenance and improvement of the Gardens’ physical space.

SERVING OUR NATION- AN ARTISTIC PERSPECTIVE
The official program for Veterans Day, Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2025, will be held at the Wm Conrad Veterans Memorial Gardens in Langston( weather permitting.) With all the respect due to this auspicious occasion, following the Coffee and Danish Morning Reception, the program will begin promptly at 11 a. m. on the 11th day of the 11th month.

v Call to Order v Invocation v Posting of the Colors by Tinker Air Force Base Color Guard v Pledge of Allegiance v Singing of the National Anthem by Army Veteran Shelby Renard Johnson, Langston. v Introduction of Elected Officials and other Dignitaries v Acknowledgement of All Veterans Present by Branches accompanied by the playing of the“ Armed Forces Medley.” v Micheal Daley, Army veteran / local prize-winning artist; Prof. Wallace Owens, Army Veteran & Founder, Owens Art Place, Guthrie; and / or Air Force Veteran Kris Morgan – " Veterans Flags by Vets.” v Military Service Portrayed in Artistic Formats – Music, Poetry, RAP, Paintings, Sculptures, Drama, Film and Stomp / Step. Presenters: Heads of LU Music & Drama or English Departments v“ America, The Beautiful,”“ God Bless America,” or“ Battle Hymn of the Republic” – Langston University Concert Ensemble
