“ We are always in need of more, because we want to be fully stocked and for students to be able to come in and have options,” Stacey said.“ Whether they are any size, we want them to be able to come in and feel like there is something for them there.”
Community clothing drives, individual donations and business partnerships all keep the racks full.
“ If anyone is interested we would love for them to reach out,” Stacey said.
Even with strong early numbers, Stacey said the closet’ s biggest challenges are more about variety and awareness.
“ Our greatest challenge is keeping up with the demand of student traffic and trying to make sure that we can fit anybody that walks in,” she said.
The other challenge is simply visibility,“ People just being aware that we exist, where we are, what we do and how we are serving students.”
The closet runs by appointment during the summer and swings open, walk-in style, 9 a. m. to 3 p. m. Monday through Thursday once the semester begins. Donations are always accepted and appreciated. SwOk
