REVITALIZING OSU RUN GAME IN NEW ERA OF COWBOY FOOTBALL

Patrick Cobbs couldn’ t hide his smile as he went through his first spring practice as the Oklahoma State running backs coach and run game coordinator. After spending the first seven years of his college coaching career at North Texas, Cobbs was beginning a new chapter, and his first season at the Power Four level. That’ s the case for several coaches on the debut staff of head coach Eric Morris, who is also making his jump to the Power Four.

For Cobbs, though, this opportunity means more personally. He was a standout running back at Tecumseh High School, where he led class 4A in rushing as a senior. OSU was a place he came to often.
