Four distinguished alumni inducted into SAHS Hall of Fame

Stillwater Area High School has had countless outstanding graduates and alumni who go on to do great things and show the world what Stillwater stands for.
Each year, the Partnership Plan hosts a banquet to recognize some of those amazing alumni.
Those honored with the Distinguished Alumni Award are inducted into the SAHS Hall of Fame, with a permanent plaque hung in the high school rotunda.
These alumni are recognized not only
at the reception held the Friday before the graduation ceremony, but are also honored during the commencement ceremony.
This award began in 1987, thanks to Dr. Jon Swenson, an SAHS principal.
A committee including the SAHS principal, other district personnel, a Partnership Plan representative, community members, and Stillwater alumni review nominations and select winners annually.
The award aims to recognize individuals that have placed a high priority on education and service to others, acting as a role model for today’ s and future
generations.
This year’ s reception will be held on Friday, June 6, 5:30 p. m., at the Lake Elmo Inn Event Center( 3712 Layton Ave. N., Lake Elmo).
Four honorees were chosen this year to join more than 100 others named as Distinguished Alumni. Jane Dickinson 2025 inductee Jane Dickinson, Class of 1961, is a life-long educator with a passion for art, who taught elementary students as well as adults.
Jane Dickinson has dedicated her life to education and the arts. For 50 years, she served as an elementary teacher and volunteer in Stillwater Area Public Schools, instilling a love of learning in generations of students. A lifelong advocate for the arts and literacy, Dickinson was a founding member and President of the St. Croix Friends of the Arts and served
