band of 63 Outlaw musicians will drum up enthusiasm for Marlow athletes and spectators this season . The Marlow Outlaw Band , under the direction of new Band Director Matthew Pitts , will focus the student musicians in “ coming together as a band , and learning to march as a team .”
Under drum majors Chesnie Steward and Kenzie Retherford , the ultimate goal is to achieve sweepstakes this year while attending the OSSAA Marching and Concert Band Contest along the way .
“ Leadership is important in band ,” Pitts said . “ The goal is to not have any followers , but in the meantime upperclassmen will be expected to encourage , and teach younger students when necessary .”
This year ’ s Marlow Band Booster Co-Presidents are Carina Friedl and Krissy Bohn .
