TO KEEP WINNING WAYS

Coming off a successful baseball season that will see a lot of those athletes hit the gridiron , Demons head football coach JT Cobble aima to build on that success heading into kickoff of the 2022 season .

Cobble will entering his fifth season as the Demons coach and comes off a season that saw Duncan finish with a threegame winning streak to end the 2021 year .
The Class of 2023 athletes will serve as the core group along with a mix of underclassmen who saw some valuable playing time last season under the Friday night lights .
With the core engaged , Cobble expects great success in week one .
“ There are some spots that we will still be young in and then we will also have some spots we have experience in and also spots that we will have to fill ,” Cobble said . “ We are going to make some moves -- maybe a kid that played a certain position last year will play a different one this year . “ Our first six games in Lawton High , Guthrie , Piedmont , MacArthur , Midwest City and Noble -- I mean those are all six high quality traditional football teams ,” Cobble said . “ If we don ’ t get after it then we are not going to like the outcome . So hopefully the last three games of last year gave those kids a sense of success and … we will carry that attitude into the season .”
On defense , the Demons will have Coach Ricky Oliver as the defensive coordinator . He ’ s had the same system for five seasons along with Cobble and believes
