Croydon schools forum invests more than
£750k in expansion of virtual school team
Children in the council’s care will soon
receive considerably more support from the virtual
school service thanks to a decision by members of
the Croydon schools forum.
The extra funds will help close the
attainment gap between children in care and
their non-looked-after peers.
More than £750,000 has been allocated
from Croydon’s dedicated schools grant (DSG) by
the forum – which is made up of a representative
group of head teachers and senior councillors
from across the borough.
As a result of this investment, the team can
