(1136 - 1206) Jazari has made machines that use only water and mechanical parts without using electricity and his works are used in daily life. He whose full name is Badi’ al-Zaman Abu al-‘Izz ibn Isma’il ibn al-Razzaz al-Jazari was an engineer who lived around the year 1200 in the Artuqid period in the region of Diyarbakır (Amid). He made all his inventions 150 years before Leonardo and he has published these inventions. Jazari is known for his extraordinary discoveries in the history of science and technology. The book entitled Useful Facts and Applications in Machine Construction is the most famous and the most perfect book in this field. Jazari gives detailed design of 50 machines in his book.
