That realization did not occur overnight. Jamille says it took several years of life lessons, self-acceptance and gratitude for her mistakes to obtain clarity and peace. She found solace in her education, and it became her go to therapy when she needed a break from life. " I had made a goal to finish my bachelor's degree, to buy a home, and to be the best mom that I could be for my son." She worked towards her bachelor's degree and began saving for a down payment on her first home. Then she began to toy with the idea of furthering her education beyond her bachelor's. "This new found idea of continuing my education past a bachelor's was more than I had ever imagined for myself. I realized at that moment that my mental barriers were the only things in my way. With this clarity and focus, I completed my master's degree.." Her face lights up as she relives this moment with precision and perfect clarity. "I was walking up to the Dean, and I bowed as she placed the Master's hood over my head. As I stood straight and adjusted the hood on my shoulders, I realized that I had achieved my goals. I had completed my coursework, I had purchased a home. I had overcome my own barriers, and I had become more than what I thought I would." Education enabled Jamille to obtain a position that more than doubled her salary.. It allowed her to realize that she was the only obstacle in becoming what she wanted to be. "My strength as an individual, mother and businesswoman increased exponentially when I stopped doubting my self-worth. I had become that strong, independent businesswoman that I had looked up to years before." And now, Jamille is excelling in yet another exciting endeavor! She came on board as CEO of Steampunk Chuck in January of 2015. And she is leading the movement to empower women across the globe! 9
