Chuck Coleman is not your average photographer.
As a matter of fact, he is blazing his own trail and
creating a movement that will change society"s
perception of the beauty of women. His courage to
step out of the realm of typical Hollywood, male
dominated versions of what is beautiful is setting
him apart and getting noticed.
After first becoming fascinated with the world of
photography while in the military some 30 years
ago, he has recently found his photography niche
and has perfected it. That niche is called
Steampunk, and he is dominating it both in the
United States and abroad.
With extensive experience in practically every
genre of photography, Chuck found himself
dissatisfied with the way women are marginalized
by their sex appeal, especially in the world of
modeling. His vision of women is far different than
the average male. He sees beauty in the heart and
soul of women, in their stories, in their
extraordinary ability to thrive despite
circumstances which are often challenging. He
believes that every woman has her own kind of
beautiful, and his desire is to eliminate all "rules' of
what is considered beautiful . The manner in which
he does this is so unique and revolutionary that
people are talking.

In a recent interview, Chuck Coleman aka Steampunk Chuck explained his
approach: "The direction of my love for the art of photography is evolving,
and the human element has begun to play a significant role in the direction
of this change. I feel the general male opinion of what defines beauty has
influenced society's perspective for far too long. While traveling across the
United States, I observe one common denominator in every woman's closet;
they are filled with clothes, most of which are never worn. As she starts
perusing her sometimes quite exotic and diverse variety of apparel, she
asks me questions. "Do you like this combination? How do you feel about
this piece? " But one statement seems to be repeated , "I've never worn
this!"
