alton and Katie Prager met on Facebook, when they were teenagers suffering from cystic fibrosis and they often remained in the hospital or at home for a long time. Their relationship was developing online, a month later, they met in reality and immediately understood- it ' s fate. They had incredibly fast period of courtship, because both understood that the stakes were high, and they had no time to love. They fell in love. Days later, Katie knew she would marry Dalton. Doctors warned them that it is harmful for them to spend time together because their organisms become more susceptible to infections, but they took a gamble. In 2011, they got married, surrounded by their family and friends, both 20 years of age. After their wedding, both of them continued to have complex health problems because of cystic fibrosis- a disease that affects breathing and digestive system. They had planned on traveling to all 50 states of USA and writing a book about their
romance, but those plans faded away when health complications separated them. Dalton got a double lung transplant, but Katie caught the virus, which made her condition more complex and difficult to treat. Another problem was her insurance, which refused to meet her needs. Dalton immediately began to do everything possible to surround his beloved Katie with care and affection. Eventually, after several months of fundraising and appeals to insurance companies, nevertheless, doctors managed to make Katie a double lung transplant. Unfortunately, medical intervention was not successful for both spouses. After several months of success with his transplanted lungs, Dalton was diagnosed with lymphoma cancer. Kathy’ s transplantation failed, and doctors had to tell her that they are no longer able to do anything for her. A few weeks before Dalton’ s death, he was trying to find a way to be with Katie at the hospital, as her life was coming to an end.
