“ This summer , more than ever , we ’ ve been doing a lot more motorized shades , solar shades , zebra shades and Roman shades , as well as motorized drapery curtain rods ,” Jacinda said . “ People are going more towards app controlled ( items ) and a smart home . They can now be able to control their window coverings and their draperies from their phone or from remotes .”
Another new feature they have decided to partake in is the opening of the Makers Mill , the mall-like artists showroom that took over the former Lay Simpson ’ s Furniture building .
“ We are going to have a pop-up showroom custom pieces by Rozella , and to showcase some of our fabrics and upholstered work ,” Jacinda said .
