NM National Black Chamber of Commerce Proudly Presents, “Miss Black New Mexico Beauty Pageant
2018”
Celebrating the many contributions of the women of color, the elegance, beauty, and the strength is an
essential aspect of the culture. Building a pathway for the future generations to uphold the power of such
a bold culture. This year's theme is The Colors of Change.
Miss Black New Mexico Beauty Pageant is organized by the New Mexico National Black Chamber of
Commerce, an entity in partnership with J. Morris Anderson, Founder and Executive Producer of the Miss
Black America Pageant and TV Special and Chief Executive Officer of Black America Television
Network and the Sisterhood of Miss Black America (SOMBA). This pageant is a New Mexico Statewide
competition, welcoming all women of color to participate and highlight the real beauty of their mind and
souls.
Miss Black New Mexico Beauty Pageant is open to all women of color and aspires to provide contestants
an opportunity to display their talents, their livelihood, and their accomplishments as modernized women.
In its bid to unify cultures of color and promote positivity.
The grand finale night of this pageant will allow the contestants to shine with their beauty, intellect,
personality, and character. With a numeric point scale from the panel of judges, the chosen Miss Black
New Mexico Beauty will be worthy of her title; representing the younger generations of women in New
Mexico and America.
Miss Black New Mexico Beauty Pageant will take place at the Hobbs Events Center, 5101 N Lovington
Hwy, Hobbs, NM 88240 on June 30, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. to10:00 p.m. With performances by Jorge
Eduardo, season 14 of The Voice and the 575 Tumblers of Lovington NM. Pageant tickets are $40.
Several pre-pageant events are scheduled, a Swimsuit Photoshoot at the C.O.R.E., the White Linen Affair,
“Meet the Contestants” on June 28th at the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Hobbs NM from 6-9 PM, tickets are
$10. A Sponsorship Dinner June 29th, from 6-9 pm at the Hobbs Country Club, “Meet the Performer,"
Mr. Jorge Eduardo season 14 of The Voice, tickets are $25.
The winner will move on to 2018 MISS BLACK AMERICA PAGEANT WEEK and compete in the 50th
Anniversary Miss Black America Pageant: Saturday, August 18th, 8:00 pm in Kanas City Missouri.
