Each year state junior advisors nominate National Junior Limousin Show & Congress exhibitors for the O ’ Brien Award to recognize a superior job of caring for animals , interacting with others , meeting the public and demonstrating maturity .
First presented in 1996 , the award honors the memory of Limousin enthusiast Dick O ’ Brien . This award is based upon the leadership that has been exhibited through their Limousin and other various activities .
