On the occasion of the celebrations for the 100th anniversary of the October Revolution in 1917, twelve Italian artists exhibited their works at the exhibition entitled Right to the Future at the 20th and 21st Century Museum of St. Petersburg (Музей искусства Санкт-Петербурга XX -XXI веков). The Italian participation is promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and organized by Garuzzo for Visual Arts - IGAV, with the collaboration of the Consulate General of Italy and the Italian Cultural Institute in St.Petersburg. The theme of the exhibition is "Revolution" that is not only the specific Soviet revolution but the concept of revolution in general as a socio-cultural complex event, not limited to the revolt or the military conflict. Over 60 contemporary European artists, masters, famous artists and emerging talent show their views on the idea of revolution, innovative processes, prospects for the future. In every age the ideal of the revolution has inspired human creativity in all its expressions (music, dance, poetry, visual arts, etc.), since the cancellation of the established schemes opens new perspectives and horizons.
