Oltre ogni ragionevole dubbio

Alberto Di Fabio and Kepa Garraza at Real Academia de Espana en Roma

The exhibition curated by Raffaele Quattrone at Real Academia de Espana en Rome creates a dialogue between two artists really different for thematic, technical and temperamental choices. Two completely divergent languages look to each other, seeking certainties that do not belong to them. Oltre ogni ragionevole dubbio (Beyond Any Reasonable Doubt) is an assertive proposition borrowed from the legal language as a limit we must overcome. Two territories that face the micro and the macro in a teleological perspective that aims to investigate the truth of reality.

On the one hand, a scientific vision focusing on the invisible, on what is inscrutable for the naked eye that uses optical zoom tools to incorporate a knowledge that permeates the internal nature of things, the functioning of neural networks, the body, the cellular or atomic form. On the other hand, a vision set, well-directed from the top, reflects the will to manipulate mentally behaviors and responses by subjects and masses into a regime that varies shape and structure according to times and places, nations, and historical periods.

Oltre ogni ragionevole dubbio (Beyond Any Reasonable Doubt) is an assertive proposition borrowed from the legal language as a limit we must overcome. Two territories that face the micro and the macro in a teleological perspective that aims to investigate the truth of reality.
