TMNT

Cowabunga baby, yes thats right, those Green Shelled Ninja's are coming to a screen near you on 8th August 2014, courtesy of Paramount and Michael Bay. Hmm a Bay movie, I wonder if whatsherface from Transformers will be starring in a lead role?? Anyway, New York gets yet another kicking, and they've only just put it back together after Godzilla stomped his way down from Harlem to the Battery.

There are some excellent names appearing in this film, William Fichtner plays Shredder, Fox is April O'Niel, Jessica Biel had also been put forward for the O'Niel spot, and would probably have been a better choice, but thats my opinion. Also starring is Whoopie Goldeberg, Alan Ritchson, Will Arnett and Noel Fisher. Danny Woodburn is playing Splinter.

October 2009, Nickelodeon purchased all of Mirages rights to TMNT and began scripting a new movie. fast forward to 2011 and they bring in Platinum Dunes, owned by Michael Bay. Bay announces a step away from the traditional known way of how the turtles are created, instead they become Aliens. Wow! a whole planet of Ninja Turles. This naturally upsets the fans who see it as walking away from the original concept. In steps two former Turtles and the actress who originally played O'Niel in the first movie, who endorse the idea as an original concept and would open up the franchise for more TMNT films, ergo a planet of ninja turles.

In July 2012, Eastman called it "easily the best Turtle movie yet". Kevin Eastman stated that the movie is creating its own story but has to be true to the source material or else they will get "f**king murdered by the fans".

Filming began in March 2013, in Tupper Lake, New York. Shooting began in April in New York City and at Jones Beach State Park in Wantagh on Long Island, New York under the code words "four squared" (4SQ). On April 20, 2013, the film was renamed as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. On April 29, 2013, Michael Bay retracted comments that the turtles will be aliens. Early set photos were made public showing the turtles' actors in black and grey motion capture suits, complete with life-sized turtle shells, with each actor wearing arm bands and accents of their corresponding turtle's signature color. Production for the film wrapped on August 3, 2013. Additional filming occurred in January and Febuary 2014 for essential script changes.

The plot focuses on the hunt of the Spanish treasure galleon, Urca de Lima, and possibly much more.

So, what can you expect, well as its a Pay Per View Channel, there's plenty of blood and guts, fighting, sex, more fighting, more sex with a touch of lesbian action, and thats just the first three episodes. However following on from those early stories, Black Sails starts to take itself serious, and the sex is cutback somewhat. The naval battles are well pieced, and the ships were actually built for the show, with each vessel making use of over 300 tradesmen and several months to complete. There are 3 full size working ships at present, a further 2 are currently being built.
