Starchart Summer Issue 2014 | Page 4

Here it is, another exciting edition of Starchart, incorporating Ad-Astra in the brand new shiny digital e-pub format.

The last edition was the test bed for something new, and going by the positive comments I've been receiving, you the members enjoyed it. There was a couple of hiccups, though with the last edition, but as with all new ventures, not everyone is going to be happy with change. or willing to change for that matter. But progress must be made to show we as a club can still produce quality items in a more modern age, with limited resources. And to be honest I think we're doing a damm fine job at it.

You will note on the contacts page that a lot of information has been removed pertaining to contact details. This is to keep us inline with current MOD publication guidlelines regarding issues of security. Where contact information is required to get in touch with someone, either the editorial staff or other member, the email address has been provided through proxy email accounts.

So, what does this editon of Starchart have to offer then? Well we have the usual SyFy Update page for all things happening in SyFy that you may find interesting. The Ad Astra update magazine is located to the rear of the magazine with the current point standings.

On the Content page you will find a series of five stars, this is a new tool I found, and lets you the reader grade the publication from 1-5 with 5 being super hot and fantastic. And if your intrested, the last publication has recieved 135 views since being published.

I was hoping that members would submit articles for Starchart, now that we have the ability to incoporate video and sound, but alas I fear maybe you need a bit more time to adjust to the explosive content abilities that the publication has to offer.

There are film clips spread throughout the mag, and a 15 minute long video clip of Worf being told No. Other than that, I can't really say anymore, Just enjoy the mag, and if you have any comments then get in touch.

Ps: will someone try the quiz this time, nobody submitted any answers for the last one which asks the question, was it too hard?

Greetings!

Another edition of StarChart for your viewing.

Be sure to check out the AGM page for the details of the new venue. Hopefully (offspring depending) I will see you all there.

Thank you to everyone who contributed articles or features, it's much appreciated, but we always need more so if anyone's got some extra time on their hands or is feeling creative, get typing! I'd like to say I'd worked hard putting this together....but I'd be lying! I'm now nearly 38 weeks pregnant and with the baby coming any day now my life consists of cooking meals to

freeze, nesting and sleeping.

Once again Scott has come to the rescue, so many thanks to him for taking it on.

Hopefully see you all soon,

Daryl
