ANNALIESE ELFTMAN What is the filthiest thing in my house? ! I am doing my science project on bacteria and what places are the dirtiest in my house. The reason for this experiment is that I want to see how unclean some things really are. ! My question is, what place in my house has the most micro bacteria and why? ! My hypothesis is, out of the five areas in my house (shoe, mouth, kitchen sponge, fridge wall, & the controlled area) I think that the sponge will grow the most bacteria. ! The materials that I used are: sharpie, agar, Petri dishes, a used shoe, a used sponge, a mouth, a fridge, and distilled water. ! My procedure is: first you take the ager and you heat it up so that you can put it into Petri dishes, second you turn the Petri dishes over and pure the agar in, third you put your Petri dishes into a or shelf, and finally when the agar has cooled over night, find out your test areas. ! My independent variable is the different areas of the house that I am going to be testing. ! My dependent is, in the beginning I thought that the different areas of my house would grow different amounts of micro bacteria. ! For my controlled variable it is, the agar is the same amount in the Petri dishes, and the same testing areas. ! The first one is the shoe, the second one is the kitchen sponge, the third is my mouth, and the fourth is my fridge wall. ! In conclusion I think that
