PERLA VILLALOBOS Bottle Organ ! The purpose of my experiment was to find out if the sound of the liquid was going to be a higher pitch or a lower pitch. I hypothesized that the sound was going to change by the amount of liquid thatʼs in the glass. ! To conduct my experiment I needed the following materials: liquids, six glasses, metal spoon, and measuring cup. Once I had my materials, I put some liquid into the bottle and once the liquid is in the glass I tap it with the metal spoon and hear the sound that it makes. If itʼs a high pitch or a lower pitch and it also might vibrate. ! The independent variable was the type of liquid. The dependent variable is the amount of liquid thatʼs in the glass. The constants/ controlled variable were the same glass. ! In the end, my results supported my hypothesis because in my results it was similar to my hypothesis and in my results it answered my question. I learned that if you put different amounts of liquids in a glass and hit it with a metal spoon it will make a high sound or a low sound.
