The Clear Air Council and
Environmental Protection Agency
estimate 27 percent of all waste in
the U.S. is paper, and Americans use
four million tons of copy paper alone
each year. This continuous stream of
paper reduces the number of trees,
pushes landfills to capacity, clutters
homes and workplaces and can
make it seem impossible to organize
and locate documents.
