enjoy three days of education and
networking opportunities focusing
on managed money and elevating
client experiences.
Many attendees will arrive early to participate in a
Next Level Coaching Workshop on Saturday afternoon
and all day Sunday. Next Level, our premier business
development program, provides a step-by-step approach
to reinvigorate each area of participants’ practices to
increase profitability, grow their assets under management
and take control of their work-life balance.
Other preconference sessions address growing an
advisory business through income distribution planning
and automating advisor processes.
Sunday evening’s opening general session will feature
Major Anthony Bourke, a former U.S. Air Force F-16 pilot
and the CEO and founder of Mach 2 Consulting. Bourke
will describe how he applied tools and techniques that
made him one of the nation’s premier fighter pilots to
the competitive world of business. Following Bourke’s
address, a partner welcome reception will allow advisors
to meet peers, practice management experts and
sponsor partners.
On Monday and Tuesday morning, advisors will choose
from more than two dozen educational sessions across
four tracks covering client relationship management
systems, hiring, marketing/prospecting and investment
strategy, as well as a session reserved for networking.
Ladenburg Thalmann subject matter experts will also be
available for individual consultations.
A general session late Monday afternoon will feature
Ladenburg Thalmann Asset Management CEO Philip
Blancato. A respected veteran of the financial services
industry, Blancato will draw on his specialized knowledge
of portfolio and risk management, asset allocation and
macroeconomic theory as well as constructing and
implementing seamlessly integrated platforms of fee-
based solutions. Monday evening, attendees will head
downtown for a Music City-style party.
Michael Kitces will close the symposium with a keynote
address on Tuesday morning. Kitces is a partner and
wealth management director for Pinnacle Advisory
Group. He is also an active writer, editor and award-
winning thought leader with a passion for investigating
and reporting on all aspects of the advancement and
future of financial planning. Kitces will address how
technology is fueling major changes across the industry
and increasing pressure to improve the client experience.
In conjunction with ELEVATE, the Link to the Future
program will offer college students interested in a financial
services career insights from experienced advisors
and industry leaders. Exclusive workshops will help
participants better understand fundamentals of financial
services and steps they can take to launch a career in
the industry. Students from the conference area and
daughters and sons of financial advisors who have
caught their parents’ passion for the profession were
encouraged to apply.
