Concerning my Storm
Dan O’Malley
I will not walk into a storm that does not bare my name.
I will not fight a war with just rhyme.
I will not engage just to play their game.
And I will not be there for them on my own precious time.
But I will carry you from the storm,
And I will help you find your reason.
And I will play if it means you do not mourn
And I will always be ready to commit treason.
I couldn’t begin to imagine what goes on inside your mind
And I couldn’t try to see behind the curtain
I shouldn’t try to believe in god if morality is in decline
But how could someone deceive you, when no one can be certain.
How could I refuse?
Who could place my blame
If I was to run into a storm
The storm which bears your name.
