‘Teaching Inspiring K-6 Science’ Twilight Workshops
Teaching K-6 Science is easy using everyday resources
Introducing an updated event for the 2019 Science and Technology K-6 Syllabus. Everyone welcome!
Did you know that a rocket launches when the force of thrust pushing
it upwards is greater than the force of gravity pulling it towards the
centre of the Earth?
There's a number of forces on teachers in primary school too (not
just gravity). This event will show you how the science syllabus
can make it easier to harness those forces for the benefit of your
students and make your classroom a more productive space. Be a
force for quality science inquiry in your classroom!
This program aims to support teachers with the science they need
to know and how those concepts build over time. It allows them to
realise what can be left out. Easy to do science experiments for
each of the strands will provide teachers with ideas on how to use
everyday materials and objects to do science in a classroom.
This program is for both experienced and less-experienced primary
(science) teachers alike. Join with like-minded Primary teachers for
up to three twilight sessions of discussion, networking and sharing.
Upcoming sessions:
20 Aug - Experiments for Physical World - electricity and energy
10 Sept - Experiments for Earth - day/night and landforms as well
as Material World
… Plus further sessions being added! Enquire for new dates
