The Teachers’ Guild of NSW was established 126 years ago. Its current President is Dr Fred
Osman, HOD Science at Trinity Grammar School. The Guild is a close partner of STANSW,
both in its aim and the work it carries out to support Education and all NSW teachers involved
in it. Its aim is to assist teachers in all faculties, and annual events are held honouring both
nominated teachers and students who have excelled in their fields.
Its annual journal is named ‘Proceedings’, and SEN readers, particularly those who know little
about it and how it can be of assistance, are encouraged to follow the url to read about its
activities.
Dear Colleagues,
I am delighted to enclose the latest edition of our journal ‘Proceedings’, which is published
biennially.
In doing so, I would like to recognise the outstanding work of the Editor, Hayley Tuft, who
contributed greatly to this excellent publication. I also recognise the work of the number
of people who also contributed in various ways.
I commend this publication to you, and hope that the material will stimulate discussion,
provide insight, and affirm you, in your most important role – educating the youth of
Australia.
Yours faithfully,
Dr Frederick Osman FTGN FACE FRSN FAIP JP
President
