Brickhouse: What are some of your favorite designs to put together?

Juice: I feel as though my hats are my favorite and most unique part of the clothing line. The many different styles of hats that I have creates a strong distinction between me and other up and coming clothing lines. Not too many clothing lines incorporate hats into their brand. I am a brand that can style you from head to toe. I also love my Juiced Up letterman jacket design. The letterman jacket allowed me to put my own unique twist on an old-school favorite.

Brickhouse: What are some of your future plans for Juiced Up Clothing?

Juice: My plan is to seek out athletes that are in their prime and put them in the Juiced Up brand before they hit the superstar stage. I would also eventually like to open up a few Juiced Up store fronts.

Brickhouse: Black History Month is upon us so I’ll take the interview in that direction. Discuss how former President Barack Obama inspired you as a young black male.

Juice: President Obama inspires me as a black male because he worked hard, surpassed adversity and opposition and excelled to the highest level of business possible becoming the President of the United States. This gave me the motivation to keep going, no matter what circumstances you were born into or how hard life gets along the way. I’m from Gary, IN and life there was never a cake walk, but Gary made me who I am today and I’m determined to show the world that you can do anything you set your mind to, just like President Obama did.

Brickhouse: What other African American men or women inspire you?

Juice: My father inspired me the most, he was the first person to teach me through words and actions that nothing in life is ever handed to. He told me that you have to go after whatever it is that you want and be the best at it. I still keep those lessons with me today.

"My father inspired me the most, he was the first person to teach me through words and actions that nothing in life is ever handed to you."
