Standing and Shining 2 | Page 29

I had the pleasure of interviewing Savy from savy.makeup on instagram! She reached out to me for the interview but, if I had known of her, I would have totally asked to interview her. Anyway, I asked her a few questions on her business, what she likes/LOVES about her job, her makeup favorites, and much more! You can contact her at [email protected] but, you can also contact her through her Instagram (savy.makeup) anyway, you can check out her before and afters with her clients to see how amazing they look afterwards!

Standing and Shining: What inspired you to go into the makeup industry?

Savy Makeup: So, I was actually inspired by a few of my favorite Mac artists at the Daytona Beach Mac Counter. I was super inspired by Mac's artist Dominic Skinner, everything they did was just so wow and creative. I wanted to have the same expressiveness and creativity with makeup.

S&S: I love the Mac artists too! What is your favorite style of makeup? Such as flashy, neutral, etc.

SM: My favorite stule on myself is more of a colorful glam. (see cover image) Like full out. My favorite style to do is by Tie Bridal and Avant Garde!

S&S: Colorful glam is gorgeous! If you could get one brand of makeup free for the rest of your life, what would it be?

SM: If I had to pick one makeup brand I could get for free it would have to be Mac. I just love the quality of their makeup and they are always coming up with amazing things!

S&S: Mac is pretty great! What is your favorite Mac product?

SM: That's a hard question! I actually have quite a few of favorites from them, everything from their lipsticks, to eyeshadows, to blushes, and trust me, I own a ton of each! But lately I've been loving the Prep+Prime natural radience primer. It's lightweight and brightening and feels so amazing!

S&S: I have never used any of those Mac products but my friend
