It may be something like making baby hats, baby blankets, sewing finger puppets, etc. You can ask ward members or neighbors to donate items or even organize a service project where others come to help you make the needed items. Provide free babysitting for a few young families in your ward so that the parents can attend the temple. Organize a food or clothing drive and donate the proceeds to a local shelter. It might be a good idea to call those shelters in advance to see what items are specifically needed. This is especially helpful to them for the holidays! Tutor someone for free! This could be in a school subject that you excel in or perhaps helping another Young Woman with personal progress. Do baptisms for the dead for 10 weeks! Volunteer to help with Activity Days. You could possibly plan one or two of their activities, making sure that they meet some of their requirements, and carry out your ideas. Volunteer at your local hospital, elementary school, homeless shelter, after school programs, community center, soup kitchen, nursing home, etc. Type up old family journals or scan family photos so there are digital copies available. Organize and carry out a blood drive. Spend 10 hours finding names on Family Search or indexing. Sew scripture bags for the primary children that will be turning eight in the upcoming year. Find members of your ward or neighborhood that may need help cleaning up their yard. You could ask your Bishop if he knows of a family that could use the help. This could include raking leaves, pulling weeds, mowing the lawn, etc. You may need to help a few families to reach the 10 hour goal. 42
