Meet Al ! A native New Yorker, she joined the Church in 2009 and has since moved to Utah, gotten married, and now has an adorable baby girl. Al’s passion is sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ and she spends her time traveling to youth events, speaking engagements, and spreading the joy she has found by living the gospel. Below you’ll find some Q&A with this awesome example of a gal! What is your favorite color? Blue. What is one of your quirks? I love complimenting strangers all the time! And I’m really awkward…all the time, haha. If you could travel anywhere in the world where would it be and why? Arizona. It’s my favorite, I love hot and cactuses. How did you meet your husband Ben? I met him while he was serving his mission in PA. His mission was 1 of 5 missions that piloted Facebook before the church came out and made that announcement. His whole mission added me because of my blog and videos. He Facebook messaged me about an investigator he was teaching then it slowly turned into I would get his weekly emails home FWDed to me. Then it turned into emailing every day (because he was allowed to email every day) and sending short video messages to each other. We did this for a year and a half. He called me as soon as he got released as an Elder. We hung out a day later. And now he’s stuck with me! What is your favorite scripture and why? 3rd Nephi 13:33 - it was right after I got baptized and in the middle of me losing all my friends and my family freaking out beyond what I thought I was able to handle, and I read this. I was overcome with confidence that no matter what, no matter how hard things got or how alone I felt, if I put God first everything would not only fall into place, but it would be better than things were before the hard times ever came. I held onto that scripture and ran, and it has been my strength in my weak times, even now. But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. 3 Nephi 13:33 13
