Spirit
Do you have a journal? A diary? Maybe a lit-
tle notebook you carry around and keep
your thoughts in? Whatever it may be, it’s
important for you to have a place to write
your experiences. President Spencer W. Kimball encouraged us to start a journal now “and write in it your goings
and your comings, your deeper thoughts, your achievements, and your failures, your associations and your
triumphs, your impressions and your testimonies.” He reminded us that the Lord has
commanded us to keep a personal record and that as we do, we will be more likely to
remember the Lord and the blessings He gives us each day. Not sure how to get a journal started? Try writing down a few things about yourself as shown in our example below. It’s a fun way to remember your interests and dreams as of right now! Maybe you’ll
look back in 10 or 20 years and think, “What! I really listened to that music? Or wore
those clothes?”
