Moves of the Month relax with YOGA Maintaining a yoga practice can be an excellent way to reduce stress, stay in shape, and calm the mind. When it comes to stress relief, some yoga poses (or asanas) are more effective than others. Some posi tions are particularly effective for promoting relaxation, tension relief and restfulness. Often, when we are so busy with accomplishing all we have to do, the body doesn’t get the deep relaxation or rest it needs to rebuild and renew itself. Yoga helps us to calm down and refocus.
