Saipem secures offshore projects in Saudi Arabia
ESTIDAMA will extend the UAE ’ s natural gas pipeline network operated by ADNOC Gas from approximately 3,200 kilometres to over 3,500 kilometres , enabling the transportation of higher volumes of natural gas to customers in the Northern Emirates of the UAE .
Egypt signs USD 340M deals to boost oil , gas production
Saipem has been awarded two offshore projects in Saudi Arabia , under the existing Long-Term Agreement ( LTA ) with Saudi Aramco . The overall amount of the two projects is approximately USD 500M . Specifically , Saipem ’ s scope of work under the first project involves the Engineering , Procurement , Construction and Installation ( EPCI ) of a crude trunkline of approximately 50 km with a diameter of 42 ” for the Abu Safa Field , while the activities related to the second project involve the production maintenance programs of the Berri and Manifa Fields .
ADNOC Gas awards EPC contracts for ESTIDAMA
Egypt ’ s Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources has signed investment deals with Shell Egypt , Petronus Gas and Cheiron Energy totalling USD 340M . The deals were designed to enhance the North African nation ’ s oil and gas production in the Mediterranean and Gulf of Suez . The first agreement was an approximate USD 222M investment deal with Shell Egypt and Malaysia ’ s oil and gas giant Petronas , which includes the drilling of three wells and the establishment of marine facilities , all of which are expected to increase oil and gas production and recoverable reserves . A second USD 120M deal with Cheiron Energy includes the drilling of nine new wells including three new exploration wells . The investment is expected to eventually increase oil and gas production in the Gulf of Suez from 21,000 barrels per day ( bpd ) to 26,000bpd .
Wood to provide EPCm solutions for Shell ’ s FLNG in WA
ADNOC Gas plc . ( ADNOC Gas ) has announced the award of engineering , procurement & construction ( EPC ) contracts for the next phase of the UAE sales gas pipeline network enhancement ESTIDAMA Project ( ESTIDAMA ). The EPC contracts are worth a combined USD 550M ( AED 2bn ) and were awarded to NMDC Energy P . J . S . C and Galfar Engineering & Contracting W . L . L Emirates . Approximately 70 % of the contracts ’ value is expected to flow back into the UAE economy through ADNOC ’ s In-Country Value ( ICV ) program , supporting local economic growth and diversification .
Wood has secured a six-year contract to provide brownfield engineering , procurement , and construction management ( EPCm ) solutions for Shell ’ s Prelude Floating Liquefied Natural Gas ( FLNG ) facility in Western Australia .
