Mukand unveils 16 TPH boiler at its facility
Mukand Limited , a pioneer in the steel and engineering industry , has inaugurated its state-of-the-art 16 TPH boiler at its facility recently . This new installation marks a significant upgrade from the existing 14 TPH boiler , enhancing the plant ’ s capacity to generate steam at a rated pressure of 17.5 kg / cm ². The increased capacity is designed to meet the growing steam demand and support Mukand ’ s future expansion plans . This advanced boiler is equipped with the latest safety features and operates under a sophisticated PLC logic system . This automated control system manages burner sequence control , air and fuel ratio control , water level control , and steam pressure control , ensuring efficient and reliable operations . The boiler also incorporates an Air Preheater , designed to recover heat from the flue gas and preheat the combustion air . This feature significantly reduces specific fuel consumption , contributing to the company ’ s energy-saving goals . Additionally , a sound-absorbing silencer has been installed in the air blower ’ s suction line to minimize noise pollution , enhancing the working environment for operators . This new boiler is a testament to Mukand Limited ’ s dedication to operational excellence , energy efficiency , and environmental responsibility .
RUNNERS , received DOE funding of USD 15M over three years to create a system to produce the large runners used in dams for hydropower . A runner is the rotating part of a hydropower turbine that enables the pressure and movement of water to be converted into electricity . The project will produce runners using 3D printing , or additive manufacturing , combined with conventional tools , all produced domestically . The process will use robotic welders to deposit metal layer by layer to form the runners . This program offers an innovative way for us to fulfil TVA ’ s mission summarized by three ‘ E ’ s : for Energy , it improves reliability , for the Environment , it maximizes renewable energy produced , and for Economic development , it brings great jobs back to the U . S . This program covers development of the software , hardware , robotics and manufacturing strategies necessary to produce these large components . At the end of the three-year term , the project will have created a new distributed hybrid-manufacturing platform that could be used by many industries .

German transmission system operator ( TSO ) ONTRAS Gastransport GmbH ( ONTRAS ) and H2 Energy Europe AG will collaborate to build a green hydrogen transport network between Denmark and Germany . Hard-to-abate industries will be able to significantly reduce their carbon emissions using renewable hydrogen obtained through this network . They planned to build a 1 GW green hydrogen production facility in Denmark . The plant will produce 90,000 tons of green hydrogen per year using electricity from offshore wind farms and is scheduled to be in commercial operation in 2028 . The hydrogen can be delivered to industrial companies in Germany , including steelmakers , chemical manufacturers , and power plants . In addition , they will connect industrial areas to the hydrogen core network ( HCN ) with the approximately 300 km ONTRAS Green Octopus Mitteldeutschland pipeline . ONTRAS ’ parent company , German utility EnBW , is investing EUR 1bn in the construction of the HCN , which is expected to be operational in 2032 .
