Vallourec secures Shell contract
Continuum Powders has announced the commercial availability of two new copper-nickel alloy powders, OptiPowder C715 and OptiPowder C964, engineered for exceptional corrosion resistance, thermal and electrical conductivity, and mechanical stability in harsh operating environments. Produced through Continuum’ s proprietary Greyhound Melt-to-Powder( M2P) process, both alloys are manufactured using certified reclaimed feedstock to deliver high-performance powder solutions with significantly reduced environmental impact. Developed for demanding marine, energy, and industrial applications, the new CuNi powders provide outstanding resistance to seawater corrosion, stress-corrosion cracking, and high-velocity erosion.
Vallourec has secured a contract with Shell to supply of OCTG products and services for Shell’ s offshore operations in the development of the Orca project, formerly known as Gato do Mato. The expected drilling date is April 2027, and the current drilling plan includes 10 wells, with an estimation of 12,000 to 15,000 tons of pipes. This contract encompasses the full OCTG scope, including seamless pipes and VAM ® premium
TUBACEX signs a commercial agreement with ITP Aero
TUBACEX and ITP Aero, a major aero engine and components manufacturer, have signed a new commercial attachment to their existing Long-Term Agreement, extending and detailing their collaboration across several key engine programs. The agreement is executed between Industria de Turbo Propulsores, S. A.( ITP Aero) and Salem, the Tubacex Group’ s U. S.-based company specialised in precision seamless stainless steel and high-nickel alloy tubing for the aerospace industry. TUBACEX’ s contribution is underpinned by its vertically integrated model, covering the full advancedmaterials value chain, from alloy design in metallurgy labs, through melting and tube manufacturing, to the delivery of high-precision tubing designed to operate in high-pressure, high-temperature and high-vibration environments.
