Stalatube EPD for stainless sections Alleima receives a major nuclear order
Stalatube ’ s goal is to be the cleanest producer of stainless steel structural sections in its field . It guarantees that a minimum 75 % of stainless steel raw materials are recycled . Consequently , the usage of recycled material lowers the carbon footprint of the final product . This , in return , can be seen in the Environmental Product Declarations , EPD . Stalatube has carried out a Life-Cycle Assessment study as a basis for five Environmental Product Declarations ( EPD ), complying with ISO 14040:2006 + A1:2020 , EN ISO 14044:2006 + A1:2018 + A2:2020 , EN 15804:2012 + A2:2019 , and PCR for Construction products v . 1.3.1 . The report aims to provide customers with reliable and comparable information on the environmental impact of Stalatube ’ s products . The objective of the LCA study is to understand where in the life cycle of the products the environmental burden lay , to highlight where actions to reduce the environmental burden should be taken , and to illustrate where in the life cycle the environmental hot spots are most significant . The results are compiled to produce an EPD .
Alleima has received a major order for steam generator tubes in the Nuclear segment to a total value of approximately SEK 250M . The order valued at approximately SEK 250 is classified as a major order ( i . e . above SEK 200M ) and will be reported in the Tube division . The order was booked in Q1 of 2024 and deliveries are scheduled for H1 of 2026 .

Esco Tool introduces Esco COHOG ® Split Frame Machine
A split frame machine that features a line of new anti-deformation rounding pads to protect highpurity thin-wall pipe and tubing in food and pharmaceutical process applications has been introduced by Esco Tool of Holliston , MA , USA . The Esco COHOG ® Split Frame Machine has a robust stationary ring machined from 7075 aluminium alloy that is hard coated and supports a custom steel forged , heat-treated and nickel-plated rotating ring using precision tuned eccentric bearings . This clamshell style machine is ideal for bevelling in food and pharmaceutical process applications .
Cedar LNG , a partnership between Haisla Nation and Pembina Pipeline , has selected Samsung Heavy Industries ( SHI ) and Black & Veatch for the project ’ s floating liquefied natural gas production unit ( FLNG ). Engineering , Procurement and Construction ( EPC ) services are provided by Design , Fabrication and Delivery , subject to final investment decision ( FID ). The project has entered the advanced stages of planning and development and is expected to achieve FID by the end of Q1 2024 .
