No existing system Market analysis confirmed that no system existed that combined all inspection requirements into a single process. Schoeller’ s equipment engineering team developed an entirely new solution in cross-departmental collaboration. The system inspects in four fully automated stages – outer diameter, straightness and length, chipfree cleanliness, and surface condition including cut ends – at a cycle time of 0.5 seconds per tube. Defective parts are automatically detected and rejected. Despite its capabilities, the system is compact enough to be integrated into existing production lines.
Zero complaints The results speak for themselves: since commissioning, customer complaints have been eliminated entirely. At the same time, the technology opens up new market potential – initial inquiries for additional tube dimensions from the medical technology sector are already on the table.“ This project reflects how we approach technical challenges: when the market offers no suitable solution, we develop

one ourselves,” says Michael Gottschalk, CTO of Schoeller Werk GmbH & Co. KG.“ The system is not only a response to a specific customer requirement – it reinforces our position as a development partner for demanding applications in medical technology.”
With this in-house development, Schoeller underlines its commitment to serving customers not merely as a tube manufacturer, but as a complete solution partner – from product development through to quality assurance.
